The 2011 Mustang GT is our fourth in the "Mustang Ownership Experience".
Our first, going back many, many years ago was a 1970 Mustang Fastback with a 2 barrel 302 automatic. It was black!
Our second, also going back many, many years ago was a 1978 Mustang Cobra with a 302, 4 speed. It was black!
Our third, only going back many and not many, many years ago was a 1985 Mustang GT (our first new Mustang) with the 5 liter, 5 speed. It was black!
Fourth and current is our 2011 Mustang GT, bought new in September of 2010. In the 2 or so years of ownership we have thrown a few modifications at it, which include appearance items such as the H.O. Fibertrends 3 inch cowl hood, Boss front and rear lower fascia's along with a super-snake style matte black stripe.
Suspension wise we went with Steeda components that include Sport springs, Pro-Action shocks and struts, heavy duty upper strut mounts, adjustable upper control link, adjustable panhard bar and billet lower control arms.
This configuration dropped the front 1 inch and the rear 1.25 inches. The ride is comfortably firm and handles like it's on rails.
Complimenting the lowered look(imho)are a set of staggered 20 inch Vossen VVSCV3 rims in a matte graphite finish. 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 out back.Rubber for the rims are Falken FK452 tires. 255/35/20 in front and 275/35/20 in the rear.
Performance modifications, for now, are a Steeda cold air intake running a Steeda 93 octane tune. Sound is supplied by a Bassani axle-back exhaust.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot, ...  It is black!
