this is my 1989 mustang that i picked up wrecked from a buddy for 100 dollars about 4 years ago. the price tells more a bout the car than i even need to mention (it was bad). it needed a quarter panel, paint, engine, transmission and tons more. i rounded up a 89 302 and rebuilt it added a ford racing x-cam and a set of strike force aluminum heads. i topped off the heads with a set of comp roller rockers and decided to go carburetor and installed edelbrock performer intake. the car now has full msd ignition including two step. i finished up under the hood by adding a set bbk long tube headers. my original plan was to go with a 5 speed transmission but that didn't last long as i changed transmissions more often than my oil. it didn't take long for me to decide to auto. i purchased a redneck performance c4 with 4000 stall, trans brake and all the goodies. the c4 transfers power to a set of 4.10 cogs in the stock 8,8 housing. in this trim the car bested a 12.80 and that was not enough. a bit later came the nos cheater system with 150 shot netting me a 11.33 at 117 mph. the paint was lacking in appeal so i gave TLC pint and body a call. as i droped the car off terry at TLC asked what i wanted to do to it. i told him paint it solid blue. he states lets be different how about 2 tone  thought about and decided yeah lets do it. the colors were chosen the body work was done and the paint was sprayed. i have to give the guys at TLC paint and body in burnsville N,C  credit they did a great job. it has been a long project and is still not done. i am really wanting more power and hope to build another engine for it soon.  never plan to sell the car because it has been a huge part of my life for the few years i have had and it has brought me closer to my dad and several friends who help me with it on a regular basis. i love mustangs and i love reading muscle mustangs and fast fords and i read it everyday. PS my girl friend is a die hard Chevy girl but shes coming around. she soon will be another convert from brand x i hope.  keep writing the great magazine and i promise i will keep reading.
