We purchased our Vista Blue Roush 428R, No 127 of 200 the day after Thanksgiving in 2007 from Bob Turners Ford in Albuquerque NM. We went into the dealership to buy my wife a new car and walked out with two new cars, one of course being the 428R. The day we purchased the car, I told her it was going home with us and she said no, then fine,  but she said I had to sell my 1990 Kenny Brown SC Thunderbird and I had to promise her I would not void the warranty as I had done with so many cars before.  Well, I have kept 50% of my promise, the warranty is still intact.  Faced with not being able to modify the motor, I chose to occupy my time with cosmetic mods until 3:30PM on the 26th of Nov 2010 when the warranty goes. The Roush parts additions over the 428R package include the strut tower brace, billet aluminum swing arms, upgraded from the Off Road exhaust to the Extreme exhaust, replaced the Cooper Zeon's with Cooper RS3's, upgraded the stock tensioner to the P-51 tensioner, added the Vent Pod gauges as well as the Track Pak fire extinguisher. The aftermarket parts list consist of the complete set of fabricated Moroso tanks, computer cover and brake fluid tank cover, all the coolant hoses and 90% of the vacuum lines have been upgraded to Samco Sport silicone with stainless steel T-bolt clamps. The intake tube, air box, Optima gel cell, one piece Bangastang radiator cover and the under side of the hood have all been painted in Vista Blue to match the car with the air tube getting an airbrushed 3D Ford emblem. We have added many chrome parts including dipstick, air/oil separator, various covers including billet coil on plug covers, replaced all the bolts with grade 8 chrome, plus we have had the stock Roush blower elbow, stock valve covers, strut tower brace, Roush intake, fuel rails, alternator bracket, alternator, thermostat housing, all the various engine brackets, Moroso tanks and covers, the fabricated battery tie down etc.. coated by American PVD in chrome to match the 428R chrome blower. One of my favorite modifications was 64 stainless steel washers CNC ed by a friend to match the Roush radiator caps; we have used them throughout the engine bay. The car has been shown since last year with an impressive eighteen 1st place wins, one 2nd, one 3rd, fifteen Best in Shows and three Best in Show Motor wins and the 2009 series championship for "The Hotrod and Custome Car Series" in the contemporary car class. This car is by no means a trailer queen, it is in fact driven hard as Jack would have wanted it to be driven. The car is an incredibly balanced, well mannered car that actually begs to be cornered.
