This is my second California Special, I had an original 68 in the early seventies that I restored and modified but was forced to sell. After 30 years of pick ups and practical vehicles I decided to have my mid life crisis. Lucky for me my wife agreed. Since buying the car new it has been a quest to make this a strong running, great handling car. The modifications just seem to keep coming. It now sports a FRP(Whipple) intercooled super charger(464 rwhp, 460 ft/lbs torque), Eibach Pro R2 coil over suspension, GT-500 brake conversion, GT-500 wheels and tires, GT-500 rear spoiler and front splitter. I have made it my one off by badging it as GT/CS SC with custom floor mats, head rest covers, and lazer engraved billet sill plates. The cool part is it is my daily driver, we take it on trips and run it on the track. It gets me to and from work in all but the deepest of snow(it sits a bit low in the front). We have been to the Miller Motorsports Park Driving School twice now and are having a blast.
