This is our Formula D drift car driven by Doug Van Den Brink.  The car is a one of a kind mustang powered by a built 4.6ltr 2V motor.  The car is turbo-charged by a one-off STS Remote Mounted Turbo System custom designed in conjunction with Bobby Young of CIN Motorsports in Charlotte, NC.  The car has a highly unique rear mounted intercooler setup under the rear glass.  So unique, infact, that the blow-off valve is also mounted right in the center of the rear glass.  This car makes an incredibly sick sound!  Most people believe that remote mounting a turbo will cause turbo lag and various other "issues", quite the contrary, our setup has gone a full season in the Formula D circuit with no issues whatsoever.  We also reach full boost at 3k rpms.  This car is super responsive, nerve shaking to be honest.  At 14lbs of boost we have recorded the horsepower at 697hp and the torque at 715lbs.  The car is capable of handling 18lbs of boost.  There are numerous videos of the car on the track at sites like CIN Motorsports or Streetfire.  The car has a nearly 50/50 weight balance and has had the steering wheel and seats moved back to help gain this balance.  It's an awesome car to be in, as well as watch on the circuit.  We completed our rookie season in this car and are hoping to be able to make more races this season.  Funding travel is tough!!  We are one of the few privateer teams and need as much support as we can get.  I hope all you guys out there with SN-95's will root for us!
